Compounding & Recycling
For twenty years VSL SiloLogistics in Born has specialized in the compounding and recycling of polyamides (nylon). The plastics industry can come to Born for the processing of nylon in any desired form. Milling of hard waste or fibres, melting and extruding through to mixing with additives and conversion into granulate: all these activities take place in Born, in a one step process on several production lines and with the best machines and personnel on the market.
Via recycling, waste nylon can be given extra value, but it is through compounding that Born really knows how to go that step further. The team produces mixtures (compounds) of glass and/or mineral reinforced plastics, further impact modification, stabilization and pigmentation of these plastics help them to reach any desired specification. Every imaginable combination can be rapidly produced, and in large volumes. The products that leave Born are eventually used in numerous applications in the building and automotive industries.
Top quality is guaranteed by extensive laboratory testing and, above all, by working to the ISO TS 16949 and ISO 14001 norms for which Born is certified. Customers also profit from a variety of delivery forms, Bulk, Octabin and 25 kg bags as standard; further transport and warehousing can be offered in cooperation with sister companies within the VSL SiloLogistics group.
