VSL SiloLogistics implementation its New IT-Infrastructure is complete
This month, the completely new certified IT infrastructure of VSL SiloLogistics shall be launched. In a short period, a company specific application, a central data centre and the necessary support organization have been supplied. With this system the company has set the standard in its branch. The driving force behind this project is the company CIRM.
Flexibility and continuity were the two core values during the development of this system for VSL Slilologistics. The system has to be able to cope with the growth and if needed shrinkage of the company and its customers, breathing with the market. To guarantee flexibility, knowledge and capacity the main IT issues are outsourced. In order to properly support the processes of the completely new VSL environment the developers targeted maximum standardization of hard- and software. The knowledge and cost sharing, as a result of the standardization, is an important step on the way to the most efficient possible structure. The VSL data is stored in a Central Data Centre so that the complete organization always has access to the data and that the data can be efficiently maintained.
The investments are being recuperated directly by the immediate realization of savings! For example the use of simpler workplace hardware. Without increasing the FTE's, VSL SiloLogistics can increase output, with this system the company has set the new standard in this branch.

The registration of inbound- and outbound strategies, specific service per customer, with this system VSL SiloLogistics is able to serve its customers based upon all the possibilities available. Tracking and tracing, value added logistics activities, bonded warehousing, barcode scanning, differentiating between Bulk and Pick stock, working with diverging warehouse structures, expanded functionalities for quality control: All that and more can be found in the new VSL SiloLogistics system. It offers the company the possibility to bring the data, of all activities of transport, storage, transfer, into one database. This enabling the companywide coupling of warehouse orders to transport orders and vice versa.
