VSL SiloLogistics closes turbulent year on positive note.
Saturday 12 December was VSL SiloLogistics' annual company party, in Rotterdam this time. Almost all VSL employees and their partners from the Netherlands and Belgium attended the informative gathering and subsequent party. CEO Jaques Kleinkramer updated everyone on the key developments in the company during 2009, both the positive and the negative. The economic climate evidently continued to impact on VSL too, as during the first months of 2009 in particular the company spent much energy on disengaging from former parent Vos Logistics.
Still, at year end the positive prevailed. The new partnerships with major players INEOS, BioWanze and Steinweg (see previous newsletters) set the upbeat mood, with trust regained from many other business relations and growing interest from market parties and the media for the accomplishments at VSL and its upgraded internal foundations. Kleinkramer offered his colleagues a heartfelt thank you for their commitment and their flexibility in particular. He concluded with the TV news item about VSL SiloLogistics made for Belgian TV station Kanaal Z.
After the CEO's speech, a full buffet was laid on with later in the evening a surprise appearance by one of the most popular artists in Brabant & beyond, Grad Damen. In short: VSL SiloLogistics can look back on a great company party and -considering the tough conditions- a good 2009!
