In a study into ‘contract termination' by the English "Eye For Transport" the following was reported: In the search for a greater efficiency, customers and LSP's are having to act more and more businesslike in the drawing up and lengthening of business contracts. Customers & LSP's were both asked what they considered to be the most important reasons for contract termination. According to the customers, poor service, inefficient management and increasing costs were reasons for termination, whilst the LSP's thought that it was all due to lower prices from the competition. This knowledge of the true reasons makes it clear that a professional relationship is most required. Many customers shall be looking at their contracts with a more critical eye in the future, this offers chances to LSP's who prepare ‘custom made offers' with extra attention to service, costs and more.
