Mainport Rotterdam sees opportunities in Oss.

VSL SiloLogistics Oss joined Logistics Platform Oss (LPO) in 2009. With nine other firms it is working hard to put 'trimodal' Oss (combining water, road and rail routes and crossroads) on the map as logistics hot spot. The Rotterdam Port Authority recently visited Oss by LPO invitation. Wouter van der Sanden, VSL Oss Site Manager: 'With the Tweede Maasvlakte under construction Mainport Rotterdam is looking for additional pivot points. The advent of the Tweede Maasvlakte is generating many more extra traffic movements direction hinterland via road, water and rail. Mainport Rotterdam is keen to expand these traffic flows beyond its own facilities. And its geographic location and logistics infrastructure make Oss a good candidate pivot point.'
