Born in the picture for compounding and recycling.
VSL SiloLogistics Born has been a specialist in the field of compounding and recycling of polyamides (nylon) for twenty years. Nevertheless, this speciality never really caught the attention of the plastics industry until recently, now that several major clients can turn to it at the same time. Plastics processors come to Born, in the Dutch province of Limburg, for the processing of nylon in any desired form. Grinding solid materials and/or fibres, melting and extruding, any possible mixing with additives and processing to grains: everything happens in an efficient one-step process, at several lines, deploying the best people and machines available in the market.
Plastics waste is rendered valuable again via recycling, but when it comes to compounding, 'Born' even goes a couple of steps further. The team produces mixtures of plastic with reinforcing glass fibres and/or mineral fibres, with softeners, stabilizers, colouring agents or different combinations of additives. Any possible formula can be processed rapidly and in large volumes into the desired finished product. The products that leave Born will eventually be processed into applications for the construction and car industry, among others. Would you like to know more?
